Failing to win three consecutive championships had already let down their "expectations," and worse, Ayaka had finished eighth.
In the end, Shen Qi never got a chance to say anything to Ayaka. After the group photos, she bowed deeply in apology to each section of the stands, then hurried away.
She really had nothing to apologize for. Most spectators were reasonable, too. The Winter Race was that demanding, and Ayaka was, fundamentally, only a T3 driver. Winning both the summer and autumn championships was already excellent.
Only those crazed fans took issue. Some of them had never even watched racing before; they had come to idolize Ayaka simply after learning about this young woman who was enjoying unrivaled fame, was beautiful, and had excellent results.
They paid no attention to the objective circumstances. All they knew was that Ayaka's final result was lousy, and their abuse never stopped.
Shen Qi, however, had no energy to concern himself with much else. He was utterly drained, and had only managed to get through the photo session by relying on the [Love Savings Bank].
His immediate priority was to go back and get some serious sleep.
A Ding and Lisia were exhausted as well, so they moved their dinner plans to tomorrow.
