In the mountains, free of light pollution, a river of stars spread across the sky, gazing down at the girl who carried on a thousand-year-old culture.

Lisia got her bearings and broke into a run again.

Her arm muscles trembled uncontrollably, and only sheer willpower kept her fingers clenched around the flashlight.

The beam swayed, her steps faltered, and her wounds hurt enough to make her spasm.

Lisia could not worry about any of that. She shoved aside a thicket, picked out her direction, and was about to charge on.

Aah!

Between the branches she had abruptly pushed aside, the flashlight beam fell on Bellsprout and Oddish, huddled together and trembling.

"Sorry..." Lisia apologized breathlessly. "I'm in a hurry."

A few steps later, green light spread beneath her feet, and threads of cool relief flowed through her wounds.

Lisia had seen this move while battling wild Pokémon at Big Waterfall No. 2.

Grassy Terrain

Every individual within the move's range recovered HP.

She glanced back. Oddish had created the terrain effect.

Thank you...

Lisia truly had no breath left to speak. She mouthed her thanks and kept running as fast as she could.

The trees opened up, revealing a level road that looked somewhat familiar.

"Route 114!"

She did not know whether five kilometers would get her from here to Mayumi's house.

But now that she was on a regular road, she would have a signal!

Lisia felt around in her pocket and could only laugh at herself.

After the battle and the whirlpool, how could she possibly still have her phone on her?

There had been no signal after entering Meteor Falls anyway, so she had simply switched her phone off and put it in her backpack.

Her backpack had probably been swept into the whirlpool by now.
