The Great Marsh reserve was also nearby, the equivalent of other regions' Safari Zones (Sand Fox Paradise). It closed during Pokémon breeding seasons and opened during regular seasons, when visitors could buy special Safari Balls and food to catch the Pokémon in the reserve.
West of Nohara City lay Route 212, with its vast swamps. To the east, a turn off Route 213 led to Lake Valor Reserve.
It looked like just a turn on the map, but the area actually covered an enormous stretch of terrain, wilderness with almost no human settlements. The sole exception was the Lakefront Hotel.
It was a series of buildings along Route 213. Rather than a hotel, it was actually larger than even a Luxury Resort, with not only places to eat but also vacation clubs and lodging.
Calling it a vacation district would have been more fitting.
However, when it first opened, there had only been the Lakefront Hotel building. It expanded later, and the name simply stayed.
