A rain of blood drifted down, heaven and earth weeping together. The entire world seemed shrouded in crimson, and thunder rolled without end, like bells tolling in rites for the dead.
Countless corpses lay across the mottled earth. Blood mingled with the bloody rain until it was impossible to tell human blood from rainwater.
The air reeked of blood, mingling with the crimson rain. Everything spoke of the carnage here.
"An Undying!"
But compared to these scenes, the terrifying figure opposite them was even more shocking.
The three Supremes of the Nine Heavens braced themselves as though facing a formidable enemy. Though they knew that the Heavenly Abyss kept the Foreign Realm's Undying from crossing over, they still trembled instinctively at the sight.
Even with the Heavenly Abyss blocking it, the Undying's pressure carried a majesty that pierced deep into their hearts, reaching them across the distance and weighing heavily upon them.
"Hmph, you three juniors have come too."
Undying Qiming snorted at the sight of the three Supremes.
Clearly, he recognized them. That he called them juniors showed just how long he had lived. He was surely a peerless expert from the previous epoch.
"So it is Undying Qiming."
The expressions of the three Supremes of the Nine Heavens grew solemn. They clearly recognized Undying Qiming as well.
Still, they had not expected him to appear here.
The Foreign Realm's Undying had not appeared in person for a very long time. All this time, at most, only supreme experts at the Supreme level had shown themselves to oversee the Foreign Realm's armies.
Even then, no more than three Foreign Realm Supremes ever appeared at once, let alone an Undying.
That had happened only a handful of times throughout this entire epoch.
"Could it be..."
Something suddenly occurred to the
