Dickinson had entered Demon Sound Mountain on Marquis Po Yu's orders, but after searching for over a month, he still hadn't found any trace of Li Xin.
Even with the token to guide him, the terrain inside Demon Sound Mountain was a tangled maze, and those damned phantom beasts often blocked his path.
"There are too many phantom beasts underground. It's too dangerous. Unless Master comes herself, there's no way I can break through!"
Dickinson had tried many passages to get underground, only to discover that every one of them was guarded by large numbers of phantom beasts. He couldn't force his way through.
"How did that Li Xin get underground, anyway? Maybe he's already died down there, and those phantom beasts tossed his token inside!"
After his attempts proved fruitless, Dickinson could only report the situation to his master.

However, after Dickinson relayed the news to Marquis Po Yu, that was the only reply he received.
