As the many Eternal Divine Furnaces in Burning Flame Valley's Central Region devoured the flame energy there at maximum power, the flame energy in the Central Region weakened considerably, requiring flame energy to be drawn from elsewhere to replenish it.
As a result, the temperature throughout Burning Flame Valley began steadily dropping, a phenomenon noticed by the many Immortals adventuring there.
King Mo Mo had been the first to discover this phenomenon. He had wanted to station himself in the Central Region and wait for a treasure to appear, only for Li Xin to beat him into a deep slumber.
