September 6. The weather was clear.
It was the start of another school year~
"Teacher Oak, I'll wait for you at the academy entrance." Through Erika, Roxanne had added Young Master Mao's contact number the night before.
"Sorry for the trouble," Young Master Mao replied.
With Brendan in tow, the two walked along Central Street. The Lookout Tower was visible not far away.
It was worth mentioning that the tower belonged to Steven's family.
"It's so bustling! Just what you'd expect from a big city." Brendan marveled as they walked.
"Teacher, what are those two ridiculously huge buildings for?" Brendan asked, pointing at the two luxurious office buildings visible from across the street from Rustboro Academy.
"Oh~ Those." Young Master Mao yawned, and the Gengar beside him thoughtfully handed him a can of Americano.
"That should be Devon Corporation's office building. As for the office building next door, that's Overgrow Communications Group. I founded it~"
"I see... Huh?!" Brendan cried out.
"Is it that surprising?" Young Master Mao glanced at Brendan.
"Ah... Well... I thought you worked to earn money, Teacher," Brendan answered helplessly.
"That's right. Who would work for them without getting paid?" Gary rolled his eyes.
"But you... This...?" Brendan pointed at the office building.
"Oh, teaching is just my hobby." Young Master Mao smiled faintly.
"Badass..." Brendan was now utterly awestruck.
The two reached the entrance of Rustboro Academy, where Roxanne, wearing her hair in twin tails, was already waiting for Gary.
"Professor Gary, it's been a while. Principal Monet is always praising you. Meeting you in person really is better than hearing about you." Roxanne stepped forward and shook Young Master Mao's hand.
"Your staying on to teach after graduating is quite a fine story at Rustboro Academy too, Miss Roxanne." Young Master Mao nodded politely.
