First, the update schedule. I honestly feel exhausted every day right now. If I write on a work night, I inevitably end up staying up late, which affects me throughout the next day and takes a toll on my health. So for all these evenings, I've just wanted to sleep and haven't had the energy to write.
Second, the direction of the story. I know a lot of readers come to Douluo fanfiction to see Shrek and Tang San get their comeuppance, but many people keep leaving comments saying everyone in Shrek should be killed, especially Yan Shaozhe and Xuan Zi-that they won't be satisfied unless the protagonist grinds their bones to dust and scatters their ashes.
But I'm really sorry; I simply can't write that kind of plot. That was never this book's tone from the outset, and the protagonist isn't someone who revels in killing. I know plenty of readers are cursing me out, but I truly can't write it.
As I see it, it's perfectly reasonable to call them stupid, arrogant, and point out all their other flaws, but they do have achievements to their names from going on missions to combat Evil Soul Masters. I'll make them pay a price, but I can't write a slaughter just to vent.
The outline for the rest of this story is already settled, and I absolutely won't abandon it.
