After some experimentation, he discovered that the Mental Space's capabilities were indeed extraordinary.
From his earliest research into Rat Eye to develop the Beast Taming Secret Art, to his later cultivation of the Soul Altar Secret Art, which required engraving his own Law Comprehension as secret patterns, Dongguan had long studied secret patterns extensively.
However, he had never imagined that engraving secret patterns into the Mental Space could produce such changes.
To briefly describe the experimental process:
First, he tried engraving some of the Kras Tree's secret patterns into the Mental Space. After all, these were the secret patterns he could currently see with his Secret Pattern Eyes. If there was a connection between them, it ought to work.
Once he had engraved a portion, he discovered that his talent for Law Comprehension had actually improved. The effect was somewhat similar to a Sea Light Tear's, but leaned toward the wood attribute.
He immediately formed a guess. After he erased the secret patterns in the Mental Space, that enhancement to his talent vanished, just as expected.
However, the insights he had gained while his talent was enhanced remained.
Next, he tried engraving the secret patterns related to his comprehension of the Light Law-the same kind he had previously engraved on the Soul Altar.
It really worked. His comprehension of the Light Law improved further, particularly his deeper understanding of the portions he had already comprehended.
He then tried the Time Law, with the same result, though the effect was weaker. This was mainly because his comprehension of the Time Law fell short of his comprehension of the Light Law, and the Time Law was far more profound.
This marked something of a stopping point.
