A towering, vast ancient city-the only ancient city.
Above it, an oval spaceship descended.
"Another batch of newcomers." Someone in the city sighed at the sight, but paid it little attention. This was commonplace.
Newcomers arriving after a Genius Battle attracted more attention, but among those who came at ordinary times, many had purchased their cultivation slots. There was little worth watching.
The oval spaceship's hatch opened, and World Lords flew out one after another, hovering in the air.
After its hatch closed, the spaceship left immediately without lingering at all.
A streak of black light flew out of the city and landed before the hovering World Lords.
"Everyone, I am Chaos City's Reception Emissary." The Black-Robed Envoy, whose head was covered in blue scales, began his introduction. "This is Chaos City. I believe some of you have been here before. Those who have, and know the rules, may leave on your own. First-time visitors, follow me."
Quite a few people flew away, including Seus and the other four people in green armor, as well as Shuisui.
Continuing to probe, and something like the future Duan Donghe Inheritance, could push that later "complicated" process back a step and bring it forward, while also promoting the intermittent cultivation required afterward. That was what brought about humanity's minor developments.
"The Initial Universe has only one city, Chaos City. Chaos City has three treasures. The first is the universe's operating laws, visible to the naked eye. The second is here in the City Lord's Mansion: the Chaos Steles, which you may already have heard of. As for the third treasure, it is outside Chaos City."
From that point onward, Law Comprehension was no longer a matter of steady progress, but became one epiphany after another.
