At the Lord of Ice Peak's words, Dongguan paused in surprise, then smiled.
"This isn't my true body," Dongguan explained.
This was actually an avatar formed from light and shadow through a karmic connection. It could communicate, but it could not attack.
It was not entirely incapable of attacking, but its power was negligible to a Universe Master.
Hearing this, the Lord of Ice Peak's gaze sharpened. He extended his perception and discovered that it indeed had no physical existence.
"This avatar technique is quite remarkable," he remarked.
Mostly, he had been on guard after being suddenly disturbed. Under normal circumstances, he would have noticed what was wrong himself.
This sort of projection technique was not exclusive to Dongguan.
The real issue was that his location had been discovered.
"Where is your true body? Don't tell me it's inside that flying rock?" the Lord of Ice Peak asked.
He knew that Dongguan and "Bai Yu Master" were friends.
Bai Yu Master's sudden entry into that flying rock had most likely been to look for Dongguan. "No," Dongguan denied. "Bai Yu Master isn't in there either. It was only a fake."
"That's good, then." The Lord of Ice Peak did not particularly mind. He merely found it amusing that a newly advanced Universe Master had fooled two veteran Universe Masters.
But on second thought, he seemed to have been fooled too.
After calming down, the Lord of Ice Peak looked at Dongguan's avatar. Though he was uncertain what means Bai Yu Master had used, it was probably something similar.
"I'll leave this place first, and then we can meet. I'll also take you to our Hongmeng Alliance's base in the Tilted Peak Realm and introduce you to the others," the Lord of Ice Peak said.
