Jin World.
Wu Qi Tower.
A quiet, square courtyard stood there, its walls adorned with carvings in the style of Jin World.
"Come in!" A voice came from ahead.
Dongguan walked toward the voice, but his mind was occupied with thoughts.
This is the Ninth Layer? But I clearly failed on the Eighth Layer.
Dongguan found it very strange.
Some strange things had indeed happened on the Eighth Layer.
When he inscribed the text of the "Lie Yuan Technique," after finishing the second character, he had not been transported straight into the Scroll World as he had the first time. Instead, he had vaguely sensed a choice.
To enter, or not to enter.
He had chosen to refuse.
Since he had already failed, there was no point in entering.
At first, he had found it a little strange that a secret technique inheritance so strict about erasing memories would nevertheless allow someone to enter multiple times using a single record.
But after careful thought, it made sense.
When inheriting the "Lie Yuan Technique," repeated attempts and practice would not make perfect.
It was a dead end.

In that case, there was little need for any so-called restriction.
In reality, though, each person should only have one chance at the "Lie Yuan Technique." Once they failed, it would no longer be possible.
In a sense, it was a form of mercy, though Dongguan did not know that.
In the end, after he finished inscribing all the text of the "Lie Yuan
