On the road to the summit of the Divine Mountain, at the 80,648th step.
A figure stood there with his eyes closed.
The nine origin great daos seemed to have taken tangible form. Streams of chaos flow circled him, lending him an indescribable majesty, as though he were the center of everything.
Yet in the blink of an eye, all those manifestations vanished. He seemed to become an ordinary person walking along an ordinary road.
He opened his eyes. His aura remained as unassuming as ever; only his eyes seemed like deep pools, profound, clear, and bright.
He brushed his forehead. The vertical markings trembled gently, opening a narrow slit that revealed a sliver of his third eye. Everything that had just vanished
seemed to reappear.
Then the third eye closed.
Looking at the steps ahead, Dongguan gently exhaled a breath of turbid air.
"Observation is my Dao."
"I suppose I'm more than halfway along this road now!"
When he stepped onto the next stair, Dongguan sensed that the mysteries embodied in the illusions had already reached the ultimate realm.
It was not the ultimate realm of the soul dao.
The soul dao displayed within these illusions was merely a derivative of the nine origin great daos. The life origin great dao, for instance, had a branch of life spirituality. Some of the other origin great daos might not embody it in a complete branch, but they still contained partial manifestations of the soul path.
This was merely the supreme rule using this "spirit" to reveal the ultimate-realm mysteries of the origin great daos.
It was what was known as "facing the Great Dao directly."
