History
Early Life and First Wilderness Expedition
Luo Feng initially pursues martial arts to improve his family’s living conditions, with curing his younger brother’s legs as a more distant goal. Although financial need motivates him, the heroes of the post–Great Nirvana era also inspire his belief that humanity can reclaim Earth from the monsters 4.
In late November 2056, he enters the wilderness for the first time with the Fire Hammer Squad near County-level City No. 0201. He kills a high-level beast soldier for practice and helps the squad hunt a beast-general-level Bloodthirsty Tank 1.
The expedition turns into a conflict with the Tiger Fang Squad, whose sniper attack costs Zhang Ke an arm. Dongguan intervenes and allows Luo Feng to confront Zhang Zehu, the member connected to his earlier dispute involving Zhang Haobai. Luo Feng struggles against Zhang Zehu’s superior strength and experience, then kills him with covertly controlled throwing knives. Apart from Dongguan, the witnesses mistake the killing for exceptional knife-throwing skill 1 2.
On the return journey, Dongguan demonstrates unconventional applications of the Ninefold Thunder Blade’s hidden force. Luo Feng immediately improves his control of the technique 3.
Intensive Training and the Elite Camp
Luo Feng trains alone in County 0231, killing more than ten thousand beast soldiers in roughly a month before news of the Rat Tide interrupts his training. He later hunts with the Fire Hammer Squad in City 024 and remains there after his teammates return 7 14.
The incident surrounding Li Wei’s death exposes his Psychic identity and brings him into the Elite Training Camp ahead of schedule. Within two months of joining, he reaches 62nd place on the Black Dragon Ranking 20.
Li Yao and Venina direct their anger over their son’s death toward Luo Feng, arranging for Candace to obstruct him at the camp by stealing monster kills. Luo Feng regards the death as an accident rather than something he deliberately caused. He later forgives Li Yao after watching his desperate stand against the Long-Armed Ape King 22 25.
Mist Island and the Inspector Appointment
During the Australian life-and-death trial, Luo Feng hunts lord-level apes and contacts Dongguan after remembering his request concerning a mist-covered island. On Mist Island, Dongguan gives him a millennium willow heart and shares additional plant spirits with him 21 23 24.
The willow heart produces a major increase in both his physical and spiritual strength. Dongguan also secures an aircraft, a Black God Set, and access to information for him through negotiations with Hong. Recognizing Luo Feng’s peak high-level War God Psychic power, Hong tells him that proving his strength will activate his contract’s Inspector appointment 24 25.
Luo Feng becomes the Limitless Martial Arts Hall’s Inspector for Jiangnan Base City. His appointment banquet ends early when a Level 1 coastal beast tide breaks out and he leaves to respond 27.
Planetary Breakthrough and Yunmo Star Inheritance
Already possessing a Black God Set, Luo Feng sees no reason to risk entering Ruins No. 9 for another one. Instead, he cultivates with plant spirits and asks Dongguan how to cross the Planetary threshold. Following Dongguan’s advice, he travels through base cities and wilderness regions around the world in search of insight 31 36.
Returning to Mist Island, he discovers an enormous underground tentacle monster holding a wood bud crystal. He severs its tentacle with nine flying daggers, steals the crystal, and breaks through as a Psychic during his escape. At roughly fifteen thousand meters underground, he strikes the Yunmo Star Ship and enters it. Babata chooses him as the successor to Hu Yanbo’s legacy 36.
By October 1, 2058, Luo Feng has reached third-order Planetary Level as a Psychic and second order as a warrior. He joins the coordinated global offensive against the monsters, declines an accompanying laser-cannon team, and intends to demonstrate his strength 41. After the monster crisis ends, he remains a Councilor even though he and Zhang Gui are stronger than Speakers Mohanderson and Ister 46.
Fatherhood and Golden Horned Beast Possession
Dongguan offers Luo Feng a captured Golden Horned Beast in exchange for the technique needed to find Earth through the Dark Universe. Luo Feng refuses to risk Earth’s security and initially rejects possession itself, preferring to remain an Earthling. He maintains that refusal even after Dongguan drops the demand for the coordinates 45.
In January 2059, Xu Xin gives birth to their sons, Luo Ping and Luo Hai. After spending a week with his family, Luo Feng announces an extended period of secluded cultivation and visits Sand Sea Villa, having decided to accept possession 45.
With Hu Yanbo’s Inheritance Soul Seal, he successfully possesses the beast. Against Babata’s recommendation to use Dongguan’s genetic material, he chooses his original human body as the basis for his Earthling clone. While the clone develops, he stays at Sand Sea Villa and agrees to help look after Zhang Yu and Zhang Gui during Dongguan’s planned departure from Earth 46.
Personality
Luo Feng places his family’s safety above opportunity or status. His early ambitions center on supporting his parents and helping his brother; later, he refuses to exchange Earth’s coordinates even for a bloodline that naturally matures into a World Lord. He remains willing to accept slower cultivation rather than gamble with his family or homeworld 4 45 46.
He is courageous and quick to learn under pressure. During his fight with Zhang Zehu, he studies his opponent’s movements and corrects his own shortcomings. On Mist Island, he knowingly risks provoking a stronger monster to seize a wood bud crystal 2 36.
His loyalty can make him ruthless toward attackers, as shown by his demand for revenge after Zhang Ke loses an arm. However, he can reconsider enemies: Li Yao’s sacrifice changes his judgment of the man. He also accepts rivalry without resentment, responding to Zhang Gui’s challenge with confidence rather than hostility 1 20 25.
Abilities & Skills
Spiritual Force and Telekinesis
His Psychic abilities are initially a concealed advantage, substantially stronger than his warrior cultivation 1 2.
- Weapon control: Changes throwing knives’ speed and direction, including redirecting a deflected knife into Zhang Zehu’s abdomen 2.
- Body repositioning: Manipulates his combat suit to twist his body without leverage and evade otherwise lethal attacks 2.
- Parallel attacks: At a mental power amplitude of 9, controls nine flying daggers with full strength behind each 36.
- Underground travel: Uses flying daggers to clear a path while spiritual force pushes rock and soil aside 24 36.
- Fine manipulation: Suspends the liquid from a pierced willow heart in midair before consuming it 24.
Ninefold Thunder Blade
A blade technique using layered hidden force to increase output.
- First level: Produces 140% of his normal strength, reducing the power gap against Zhang Zehu 2.
- Second level: Mastered through intensive wilderness combat 7.
- Force control: Dongguan’s demonstration teaches him that different combinations can create effects such as tearing or binding, rather than merely stacking power. His own control becomes smoother immediately afterward 3.
Movement and Combat Adaptation
- Develops highly refined minute-level movement through repeated wilderness battles 7.
- Learns from stronger opponents during combat rather than relying exclusively on raw attributes 2.
- Initially uses subtle Psychic assistance to compensate for inexperienced footwork and inferior physical strength 2.
Beast Taming Secret Art
- Masters the first level and works toward the second before his Planetary breakthrough 36.
- Receives the publicly shared art from Dongguan, who cautions that mastery will not be easy 31.
Yunmo Star Inheritance and Possession
As Hu Yanbo’s successor, Luo Feng receives Babata’s guidance and access to the Yunmo Star inheritance 36 37.
- Inheritance Soul Seal: Enables his successful possession of the Golden Horned Beast 46.
- Metal attribute: Matches the beast’s attribute; Dongguan explains that this compatibility reduces the soul–body mismatch associated with possession 45.
- Cloning: Uses the beast’s innate ability to gestate an Earthling body from his own original body 46.
- Limits: Dongguan warns that possession may complicate attaining immortality. Luo Feng’s human clone is still developing at the end of the Earth arc 45 46.
