Chapter Summaries

After Heath helped feed the people who fought the Viridian City fire, he reflected on Giovanni’s complexity as a person. The next morning, Heath taught Zorua Night Daze with a Technical Machine, leaving her amazed by her Trainer’s mysterious abilities.

• Heath watched Giovanni continue rescuing people and considered how different he was from a simple villain.
• After the fire was brought under control, Heath gave Officer Jenny Ling boxed meals to distribute to the exhausted firefighters.
• Giovanni and the Officers Jenny praised Heath’s food and contribution as everyone relaxed together.
• The next morning, Heath woke Zorua and learned that Water-type Pokémon had used Drizzle to prevent the fire from reigniting.
• Heath asked Zorua if she wanted to learn Night Daze, then used the Technical Machine to teach her the move.
• Zorua mastered Night Daze and wondered whether Heath might be a Legendary Pokémon in disguise.

Heath used his new Silph Co. food truck to add mushroom buns and soy milk to his breakfast menu while preparing to attend driving school under Officer Jenny Aya. Mr. Fujiyama enjoyed the new food, and Heath continued his business day.

Heath arrived at Viridian City’s Driving School after Nurse Joy Xue and Blissey nearly hit him while practicing driving. Officer Jenny Feng escorted him to his first theory test after making Officer Jenny Aya stop teasing him.

• Blissey charged toward Heath’s food truck twice while Nurse Joy Xue struggled to control the car, but the truck’s self-driving system avoided it.
• Officer Jenny Aya reprimanded Nurse Joy Xue and Blissey for failing their driving test, and Nurse Joy Xue recognized Heath and apologized.
• Heath asked Officer Jenny Aya to take him to the Driving School, where he saw humans and Pokémon studying for driver’s licenses.
