Black Demon Valley.
After several days of waiting, Leng Xiyue's Nexus was finally complete.
The Nexus was essentially a base, except its interior was far larger than it appeared from outside. Explained in fantasy terms, this was more or less an application of some spatial law; explained in science-fiction terms, an extraordinarily advanced technological system had been used to build a miniature universe.
Its interior stretched for dozens of kilometers, its edges beyond sight. Here, she could make any alterations she wanted. This would become her own new city. With a mere thought, Leng Xiyue could designate an area as any kind of functional land she wanted. Even farmland could be fully recreated here.
Leng Xiyue had thought developing Black Demon Valley would be her main focus, but in reality, that seemed to be the vast space inside the Nexus instead. Everything outside was there for gathering resources and building defensive lines. There was no need to pile all the functional buildings out there.
Transparent Gravitational Conduits surrounded the entire Nexus, connecting to base stations some distance away. From now on, the Probes would only need to gather resources in the corresponding areas to send them straight into the Nexus for storage.
An enormous Pylon hung in the air, slowly rotating. An ethereal beam of light extended endlessly upward, reaching into the cosmos. It seemed to be extracting some inexhaustible energy from the boundless void and converting it into power for the base.
It was like an engine, allowing the various Protoss buildings within its coverage to operate.
As for where this Pylon had come from, that was where minerals came in. These minerals were not physical objects the system gave her directly, but a virtual currency that could be exchanged directly for unlocked buildings and combat units. At present,
