Just then, the Experience Student who had spent so long on the floor, still shaken, slowly felt her way up the classroom wall and stood.
Recalling what Chen Xue had said, she slowly made her way to the classroom door.
Looking at the door handle, she was once again relentlessly assaulted by the memory of what had just happened. Her breathing quickly grew heavy. After a long time spent steeling herself, she reached out and gripped the handle, then gritted her teeth and pressed it down.
Whoosh-!
The instant she pressed the handle, a surge of wind slammed into the door as though it had been lying in wait, blowing it open with a bang! The Experience Student couldn't react in time and was knocked back by the door, landing on her backside.
There was no one in the doorway, but powerful gusts kept sweeping inside with rain and mist, the dense moisture making it difficult to keep her eyes open.
Seeing no Impersonators outside, the Experience Student couldn't help looking delighted. She quickly scrambled back up and dashed out.
As she left, she remembered to pull the door shut behind her.
Bang!
She closed the door, let go, and turned right toward the Teachers' Office marked "Group B Class 2," but she didn't realize she had made a fatal mistake.
And so, when she turned right, she came face-to-face with a bluish-gray face with gray-white eyes and a vicious, sinister grin.
An Impersonator Classmate!
The Experience Student was almost scared out of her wits. She hurriedly grabbed the handle again and shoved the door open.
But when she pushed it open, she discovered that the once warm, familiar classroom had completely changed. Though the lights were still on, the entire classroom was dilapidated and covered in dust.
"Th-this... what...?"
