Chen Shi'an lowered his waist and bent his knees, angling the Horizontal Saber behind him as he prepared to lunge again.
Wang Tianye narrowed his eyes slightly, a cold gleam flickering in them.
Just as the two were about to clash, an urgent shout suddenly came from the distance: "Stop!"
As the shout rang out, a figure vaulted over the crowd of onlookers and landed between Chen Shi'an and Wang Tianye. It was Ye Xicheng.
You certainly took your time!
Seeing Ye Xicheng arrive, Chen Shi'an inwardly let out a small sigh of relief.
His main purpose today was to probe Wang Tianye's strength. He had no intention of fighting him to the death.
"Chen Shi'an, what are you doing? Put your saber down at once!" Ye Xicheng stared at Chen Shi'an, his face filled with anger.
Chen Shi'an kept a firm grip on the Horizontal Saber. "Commander, my sister-in-law and niece have gone missing. In all likelihood, Wang Tianye did it."
Ye Xicheng frowned. "Do you have proof?"
Chen Shi'an hesitated briefly. "Not yet, but he's the prime suspect!"
Ye Xicheng followed up, "And you call yourself the Demon Hunting Camp's Deputy Commander? Fighting here without a shred of proof-what kind of conduct is that?"
Chen Shi'an answered quickly, "I'm certain I can find proof."
Ye Xicheng raised his voice. "Then find it first! Take your men out of here and return to the Demon Hunting Camp's quarters at once!"
Chen Shi'an hesitated briefly, then gave an angry snort, sheathed his saber, and prepared to leave.
At that moment, Wang Tianye sneered. "You attacked me in full view of everyone without a shred of proof, and now you think you can just leave?
"Coming and going as you please-what do you take my Commander-in-Chief's Residence for?"
Chen Shi'an laughed.
