Near noon, the Hong Kong Island Police Force's official aircraft arrived safely over the capital airport in Mainland China.
After circling into its approach and descending, the Police Force aircraft finally taxied smoothly onto the specially prepared apron.
At the same time, the reception convoy from Mainland China's Ministry of Public Security arrived directly in front of the aircraft's cabin door.
Traffic police motorcycles led the way, with six police cars divided into two groups, their emergency lights flashing but their sirens off.
The first three followed close behind the traffic police motorcycles, while the other three brought up the rear.
In the middle of the police vehicles were the unmarked official cars that would actually receive the Hong Kong Island Police Force delegation.
The Ministry of Public Security in Mainland China showed the utmost regard and courtesy toward the visiting Hong Kong Island Police Force delegation.
Every aspect of the reception followed the highest standards.
Besides the Coaster official vehicles used to transport most of the delegation, three stretch Lincolns had been specially deployed.
Without question, these were specifically for the three members of the Hong Kong Island Police Force's highest leadership.
The national flag and the Hong Kong Island regional emblem stood on either side of the front of each stretch Lincoln, fluttering in the wind, their red vivid.
On the vehicles' center consoles, the Mainland China police flag and the Hong Kong Island police flag sat crossed.
With reception facilities of such a high standard, the reception personnel were naturally heavyweights as well.
A deputy minister wearing the Deputy Chief Police Commissioner insignia, with its partly encircled national emblem, led the party, accompanied by several police commissioners bearing olive branches and four-pointed stars on their shoulders.
"Hello, Sir Kwan!"
