With today's chapter finished, the Pacification arc was finally over, so here was a recap. I didn't know what readers thought of this stretch; for a while before that, nothing I wrote felt right.
Later, quite a few experienced writer friends told me I could try writing for a while without looking at comments or stats.
Starting from when I wrote "A New Chapter, a Fresh Start," I hadn't read any comments. I occasionally checked the author dashboard, but you probably noticed I was nowhere to be seen in the comments section.
I felt it really did help. When writing each day, I no longer had to worry about whether readers would dislike what I wrote, or whether I should change things in this chapter because the previous one got negative comments. I just wrote what I had in mind.
I didn't know how it felt to you all, but I saw that the bestseller ranking was much better than before, so you probably liked it.
I would keep doing this going forward, so please look forward to it.
