For ten short minutes, the law enforcement officers felt as though every second lasted a year. Their nerves were stretched taut, and they barely dared to breathe.

"Are you their superior?"

"Kid, this is your last warning. Surrender quietly, or I have the authority to shoot you dead on the spot!"
