The searing pain left the man with the gold chain sprawled on the ground, unable to move.
"Boss-no, sir! I know I was wrong, I really do! I was only following orders. Please spare me!"
The man with the gold chain lay facedown, tears and snot streaming down his face.
Now he was scared. Utterly terrified.
This guy wasn't even human!
"Following orders?"
Jiang Tian raised an eyebrow, then asked, "Whose orders?"
"Master Kun! Master Kun sent me!"
The man with the gold chain answered hurriedly.
"Master Kun?"
"Master Kun is the leader of our Motorcycle Gang. He works for Young Master Qi, whose family owns a construction company. The Qi family bought this land ten years ago, but they only recently got ready to start construction. Your family refused to move out, so they had no choice but to send us here to demolish your house!"
The man with the gold chain struggled to speak as he lay on the ground.
"I see. Then whose idea was it to withhold the relocation compensation-Master Kun's or Young Master Qi's?"
Jiang Tian already understood what was going on, but asked another question.
"Master Kun's. He handles all the demolition and relocation work for the Qi family. To line his own pockets, he skims about fifty to sixty percent of every household's compensation..."
The man with the gold chain spoke between sharp gasps of pain.
"Fifty to sixty percent from every household?"
Jiang Tian's expression turned icy.
"That bastard is really ruthless. There are a few dozen households living here permanently, and each would get at least two million in compensation. That means he's pocketed over ten million just from skimming their payouts?"
"Y-yes, that's right. Sir, can you please spare me? I'm just doing what I'm told!"
The man with the gold chain pleaded again.
Jiang Tian glanced at him and lifted his foot off him. "Take your men and get lost. Don't let me see you again!"
"Yes, yes, of course!"
Overjoyed, the man with the gold chain scrambled to his feet and fled with his men.
Jiang Tian watched them leave with a cold sneer, his face otherwise expressionless.
In truth, none of them would live. He had let them leave for two reasons: he didn't want his parents to see him kill again, and he wanted to follow the trail back to its source and wipe out the entire Motorcycle Gang.
They'd bullied his parents and still expected to live?
Not in this lifetime!
At that thought, Jiang Tian let out a breath and turned back to his parents.
"Mom, Dad, are you all right?"
His parents shook their heads and asked anxiously, "We're fine. Tian, won't you get into trouble for beating up members of the Motorcycle Gang? We've heard they're vicious. They murder, rob, and commit every crime imaginable. Even the Police Bureau can't do anything about them."
Jiang Tian shook his head gently. "Mom, Dad, don't worry. As long as I'm here, everything will be fine."
His parents wanted to say more, but then remembered that their son was no ordinary person, either, and held their tongues.
They trusted their son to handle this properly.
After taking his parents home, Jiang Tian brought out the things he had bought for them.
Seeing the clothes and gifts their son had brought, the couple beamed with delight and put what had just happened out of their minds.
Once he had cheered them up, Jiang Tian went outside. The instant he stepped out of the room, his smile vanished. He looked into the distance and snorted coldly.
"Motorcycle Gang, it's time to settle the score."
Inside an enormous warehouse in the Western Suburbs of Yunzhou.
Rows of expensive motorcycles stood neatly arranged in the vast warehouse. Around the central track, young men and attractive women gathered, cheering and shouting as motorcycles roared past.
Clearly, this was an underground racetrack!
At that moment, on a second-floor platform directly above the track,
a man wearing a leather jacket lounged with a cigar between his lips and a beautiful woman in each arm, watching the scene below with an amused expression.
"Third Brother, are A-Bao and his men back yet?"
The man in the leather jacket took the cigar from his mouth, flicked its ash into the cleavage of the woman beside him, and asked casually.
The burning ash made the woman grimace, but she didn't dare utter a word. She could only endure the pain and force an ingratiating smile.
A bald man standing behind and to one side of him stepped forward. "Master Kun, A-Bao isn't back yet. He should be here soon."
"Fuck, the only time he's quick is in bed. He drags his feet at everything else."
"Call him and hurry him up. That holdout's house has to come down today. Young Master Qi said construction starts on the first of next month. If he delays the schedule and we don't get paid, he'll answer for it!"
Master Kun cursed.
"All right, I'll call him right now."
Third Brother nodded and took out his phone to call A-Bao.
"Master Kun, something terrible has happened!"
Just as Third Brother took out his phone, the door suddenly swung open from outside, and a bedraggled Brother Leopard stumbled into the room.
Seeing Brother Leopard's miserable state, Master Kun frowned. "A-Bao, I sent you to tear down a house. Did someone fucking tear you down instead?"
Brother Leopard swallowed, still shaken. "Master Kun, someone really did nearly tear me apart!"
"What the hell happened?"
Master Kun frowned at Brother Leopard's terrified expression.
Brother Leopard drew a deep, ragged breath, then recounted everything that had happened.
When he finished, the entire room fell silent for a moment.
"You're saying that kid not only beat all of you, but also wrecked an excavator and a bulldozer?"
Only after a long pause did Master Kun speak again.
"Yes, Master Kun! He caught the bucket with his bare hands! If I hadn't seen it myself, I'd never have believed it!"
Brother Leopard nodded repeatedly.
"A-Bao, come here."
Master Kun exhaled and beckoned him over.
"Master Kun, what is it?"
A-Bao approached shakily.
The next second, Master Kun grabbed him by the hair and hauled him close. Pointing at his own nose, he snarled, "Do I look like a fucking idiot to you?"
"N-no! How could you possibly be an idiot, Master Kun?"
Startled, Brother Leopard shook his head frantically.
"Then why the fuck are you feeding me this bullshit? Is that kid fucking Superman? Stopping an excavator and a bulldozer with his bare hands!"
Master Kun kicked him and barked.
The kick nearly made Brother Leopard throw up bile. He knelt on the floor, clutching his stomach, his face flushed crimson. "Master Kun, I really haven't lied to you! If you don't believe me, ask the others. Several of our men are still unconscious in the hospital. They might not make it..."
"Fuck!"
Seeing the bastard still daring to talk back, Master Kun angrily picked up an ashtray to hurl at him.
Bang!
But just then, a deafening crash came from the entrance to the ground-floor track. Someone outside had kicked a huge hole straight through the enormous rolling shutter.
The tremendous noise startled everyone.
They all turned toward the entrance.
A tall, lean young man walked in from outside with his hands in his pockets.
His gaze swept across the room before settling on the second floor, and he demanded,
"Who's Master Kun? Get the hell out here!"
