(This chapter is free.) Since a major volume has just ended, that's all for today's updates-a little less than usual.
Volume One came to 285,000 Chinese characters in total, pretty close to the 300,000 I'd planned.
As is my usual practice when writing, after finishing a volume, I take a day off to rest and organize the outline for what comes next, laying a solid foundation for the rest of the story.
But since today's update was rather short, and I still owe you chapters, I won't be taking a break (I really, really want a day off, but someone became a Silver Alliance supporter yesterday, and I'm afraid they'll beat me to death)!
I've already delivered 12 of the extra chapters I owed you from the paid launch, leaving another eight. I'll clear that debt as soon as possible!
As for the ten chapters owed for the Silver Alliance support, I can only work through those slowly (my chapter reserve is running low-can someone save me? QAQ).

There were a lot of plot threads, and I covered everything that needed covering. Overall, I think it turned out all right.
I also laid the groundwork for supporting characters like Old Wang and Li Xianfeng, developments back on Earth, and so on. There's plenty to expand on later.
With daily updates, some parts inevitably ended up a little rushed. If I updated less, the quality would definitely be a little higher.
But you can't have it both ways, and I think most readers would still prefer faster updates.
In truth, my productivity is only around 6,000 characters a day. If I push myself
