The letters that followed were all supernatural reference materials sent by Comrade Li Xianfeng, written in print as tiny as the text on a medicine leaflet.
Li Xianfeng was always a serious fellow. He hardly ever discussed personal matters, focusing instead on supernatural research, interspersed with accounts of things he had seen and heard on Earth and in the Mysterious Zone.
He had not crammed in all this information without a purpose. He had questions he wanted answered.
For instance, the details of breaking through the "Human Limit," the principles behind combining various Strange Objects, training methods for different superpowers, and so on...
Zhang Ming possessed so much advanced knowledge that, if the Drifting Bottle had not been so small, Li Xianfeng would have loved to stuff a computer into it and have Old Zhang type out everything in his head!
"Hello, Mr. Zhang. Have you set out to sea yet?"
"Our exploration of the Mysterious Zone has primarily relied on machinery. Humans who have not reached the Human Limit are highly susceptible to psychological disturbances, and we currently have no effective countermeasure. Our mechanized exploration has now surveyed the waters within a radius of a hundred thousand kilometers."
"Aside from various mutated life-forms, we have also discovered some unusual physical phenomena."
"Scientists call this 'spatial turbulence.'
"Spatial turbulence tends to appear in dense white fog. Its characteristic feature is an enormous ocean whirlpool, potentially tens or even hundreds of kilometers in diameter, accompanied by vast masses of dark clouds and lightning. It resembles a violent storm and lasts anywhere from one day to one month."
"Upon entering the whirlpool, exploration equipment may be destroyed outright. Occasionally, however, it survives and appears in an extremely distant region, as though it crossed an unimaginable distance in the blink of an eye."
