"Don't provoke it. Although this beast is drawing closer, it hasn't attacked yet. We still have some room to maneuver." Five-Lustre Grand Ancestor spoke.
Though he did not fear a ghost beast at the level of a first-level Mountain Ghost, ghostly creatures were notoriously difficult to kill. The Netherworld Ghost guarding the entrance to Hell was not even a first-level Mountain Ghost, yet killing him still could not be accomplished in a short time. Five-Lustre Grand Ancestor made a rough estimate: even if the five of them joined forces, they would need at least half an hour to completely annihilate him.
Unfortunately, Five-Lustre Grand Ancestor's words were wasted. The instant his voice fell, a terrifying roar rose from below. Then, those eyes marked with red lines grew larger and larger, while a shrill, bone-piercing wind swept upward from beneath.
Everyone halted. Light flashed from Night Hag's cloudy eyes as she said grimly, "Everyone, join forces and kill this beast. Otherwise, all of us will be in danger."
As she spoke, Night Hag shook the cane in her hand. Countless cane shadows shot downward at the ghost beast.
However, the first thing to strike the ghost beast was not the cane shadows, but a golden beam released by Golden Radiance Ancestor. The golden beam was dazzling, as thick as a water barrel. Even the black void below was dyed by its intense radiance, and within it, a huge phantom could vaguely be seen soaring upward, charging toward the five of them.
Immediately afterward, Five-Lustre Grand Ancestor spread his five fingers and pressed down with a palm. The palm print was five-colored; after leaving his hand, it grew ever larger, until it became twice the size of the phantom below, seemingly boundless, encompassing heaven and earth.
Yin-Yang Elder's attack was the strangest.
