The man of Qi worried about the sky!
Thirty thousand years ago, heaven collapsed and earth split.
The enormous tiger was Zhou Hu King. As he looked at the words in that uncanny book, unmistakable apprehension showed on his face.
Only after a long while did he wave a tiger paw and send the bewildered little snake out of the palace, then say with a somewhat grave expression:
"You actually dare read such an uncanny, dangerous taboo object? Aren't you afraid your human nature and yao nature will fall completely out of balance?"
White Madam seemed only then to come back to herself. "If we don't read them, will our human and yao natures stay balanced? If we don't learn from them, how can we shake off those fellows that follow us like shadows?"
"Our resolve is lacking, our yao nature impure. Afraid of this and that, shrinking back at every turn-we might as well stop calling ourselves the Demon Race. Those 'humans' are more like demons than we are."
Zhou Hu King frowned, unwilling to pursue the topic. "You're investigating Heaven's Collapse? Have you found anything?"
White Madam nodded and glanced at the book in her hand. "The contamination on it is heavy, but with those young yao sharing the burden, some of its information can now be deciphered through yao means."
"It records three instances of Heaven's Collapse over the past thirty thousand years. The earliest was the man of Qi worrying about the sky, which we just mentioned."
"The second was five hundred years ago. It records that the Yao Who Pursue Human Knowledge observed the Great Sun falling and stardust being extinguished."
At this, White Madam tapped the book lightly. The uncanny book shone again, trembling faintly, then projected lines of Demon Script into the air
