The Heavenly River's vapor surged far more violently here, beyond anything the outskirts of the Wilds could compare with. Where some tributaries converged, they even formed immense Heavenly River seas.

Within these Heavenly River seas dwelled colossal beasts rarely seen in the outskirts.
They came in every shape and form.
There were fish a hundred thousand meters long, Squid Kings with as many as a hundred tentacles, and more.
There were also colossal beasts of myth and legend, such as Flamefire Tortoises spanning a hundred li and Black Serpents capable of soaring through the heavens and burrowing through the earth.
Here, one could even occasionally glimpse that elusive Kun.
Yet although these colossal beasts were enormous and extraordinarily gifted, with beings such as the Kun even possessing a Kun Internal World within their bodies, they generally lacked intelligence, roaming the Heavenly River and feeding on instinct alone.
Thus, although they were extremely dangerous, survival here was still assured so long as one acted cautiously and avoided provoking them.
These colossal beasts had actually appeared along with the Heavenly River. Some rumors claimed they were failed evolutions from the First Heaven's Rift, while others said they were colossal beasts from beyond the heavens that had arrived with the falling Heavenly River. In other words, they had originally come from the supreme Shanhai world.
Most of the Demon Race accepted this explanation.
Although new colossal beasts rarely descended with the Heavenly River anymore, one could still occasionally see them arriving with its vapor.
