Canines were renowned for their bite force. Caught off guard by A Tuo sinking his teeth into his neck, Yu Zhengqing let out a piercing scream.
The deafening cry rang through the skies.
The intense pain sent his anger surging. Almost instinctively, he stopped in his tracks as he screamed and reached back to claw at his back.
But by the time his claws struck his neck, A Tuo had already leaped lightly away, taking a palm-sized chunk of neck flesh with him.
Fortunately, Yu Zhengqing was huge and thick-fleshed. Otherwise, that surprise bite from A Tuo might well have severed his spine, major arteries, and all.
Even so, the neck was hardly an unimportant area. Having suffered such a grievous wound out of nowhere and nearly taken a trip through death's door, how could Yu Zhengqing possibly let A Tuo go? He charged after him, eyes bloodshot.
At full power, Yu Zhengqing was like a speeding truck. Never mind a dog-even wild beasts renowned for their agility would probably have struggled to dodge him.
But A Tuo was no ordinary dog.
With a light leap and precisely judged distance, A Tuo dodged his pounce, practically brushing against Yu Zhengqing's body. His right forepaw rose high, swinging out with claws that were not particularly sharp.
Riiip!
Four claw marks appeared, tearing several more chunks of flesh from the side of Yu Zhengqing's torso. A Tuo then darted aside to evade the bat wings crashing down over him.
"Impossible! How can a dog be this fast! This strong!"
Having suffered at A Tuo's hands yet again, Yu Zhengqing roared in frustration and disbelief. He attacked even more fiercely, again and again, but A Tuo evaded every blow as casually as if he were strolling through a garden.
