As he dropped above the two monsters, he swung the Ghost Soul Blade in his right hand hard at one monster's neck.
It took almost no effort.
The monster's head was severed.
Gu Cheng found it a little unfamiliar. After all, several of his attempts to slash people with the Ghost Soul Blade had come to nothing.
The headless monster let go and plummeted into Deep Ravine.
Gu Cheng abruptly tightened his left hand around the rope.
Immediately.
His fall came to a sudden halt.
But the powerful tug left his left arm slightly uncomfortable.
Before, he would have suffered at least a dislocation.
Seeing its companion killed in a single blow, the other monster stopped climbing toward Wu Qing and turned its eerie, terrifying eyes on Gu Cheng.
Hiss-
It roared furiously at Gu Cheng.
Then it leaped off the vine Wu Qing was holding and lunged straight at Gu Cheng.
Gu Cheng tried the same trick again, slashing at it with the Ghost Soul Blade.
Unexpectedly, it slapped the blade aside.
Its strength was astonishing.
Caught off guard, Gu Cheng lost his grip on the Ghost Soul Blade, and it fell into Deep Ravine.
He had no time to mourn the Ghost Soul Blade.
After knocking the Ghost Soul Blade aside, the monster pounced on him.
It hugged him tightly.
Its enormous, bloody maw opened and snapped toward his face.
