With some of Infinite City's permissions secured, is the countdown to completion starting? There are probably less than six months left, with an expected total of around 2.5 million Chinese characters. That's actually pretty close to my original estimate, and shorter than my previous books, mainly because my health has been getting worse and worse, and I can't sustain anything too long under the combined mental and physical strain. I feel that 2-3 million characters per book would be a good length going forward, neither too long nor too short.
