After passing through the Moon Laurel Forest, Chen Beiwu and his companions caught sight of a secluded courtyard.
A plaque hung above the courtyard entrance, bearing the words "Moon-Pillow Abode."
"The Moon-Pillow Abode has abundant Spirit Vigor. Every room has independent restrictions to keep out disturbances, so you may cultivate without worry," Gu Mingxi briefly explained.
Chen Beiwu followed Gu Mingxi inside and discovered a Moon Laurel Tree growing in the courtyard.
Beneath the tree stood a stone table with a tea set on it, looking quite elegant.
"If you need anything, lightly tap the jade on the table, and a cultivator will come to attend to it. I have other matters to handle, so please excuse me."
With that, Gu Mingxi turned and drifted away under everyone's gaze.
Zheng Tianming did not linger either. After exchanging a few pleasantries, he followed Gu Mingxi away.
"Chief Disciple, we would like to try our luck in the Moon Laurel Forest," Wei Huiwen said eagerly.
"Go ahead."
Chen Beiwu nodded slightly and reminded the four of them to be careful, lest they violate the Lunar Grotto-Heaven's rules.
He had gone through Foundation Establishment and Golden Core himself, so he naturally understood how tempting a Heavenly Gang Mysterious Beast was to cultivators at those stages.
After Wei Huiwen and the other three left, Chen Beiwu turned toward Yu Zhaohua and smiled warmly. "Aren't you going to try?"
"I already have a Companion Beast in mind. The Plain-Shadow Moon Rabbit is good, and even ranks among the finest Heavenly Gang Mysterious Beasts, but it doesn't suit me." Yu Zhaohua calmly shook her head.
Liking the Plain-Shadow Moon Rabbit's appearance and temperament did not mean she wanted to contract it as her Companion Beast.
"True. Choosing a Companion Beast calls for caution." Chen Beiwu nodded
