As Lin Ke's words fell, Mental Power immediately spread from within him.

Hazy Mental Power stirred the mental fragments between heaven and earth, turning them into specks of light that filled the air, condensed into brilliant chains of light, and finally evolved into images.
The resulting illusion altered the curvature of the surrounding air, enveloping an area of nearly thirty zhang around Lin Ke and Duan Yifeng.
From outside, it looked like a distorted grayish-brown mass of air floating there.
Sight, sound, and fluctuations of power were all concealed by that mass of air. No one could know what was happening inside.

Hearing that Lin Ke would not kill him, Duan Yifeng was so excited that tears and snot streamed down his face. "Thank you... thank you, Fellow Daoist Lin. From now on... from now on, I will serve you at your beck and call to repay... repay you for sparing my life today."
A weight lifted from his heart, and his eyes were filled with relief at being able to survive.
