Lin Ke frowned.
He had expected failure, but it still pained him a little when it happened.
Every Blackgold Moth was precious. After all, they were spirit insects.
Though they had little combat strength, they could produce blackgold silkworm silk and could also be bred. That made Blackgold Silkworms very important to Lin Ke.
"Keep going."
Lin Ke steadied himself, then continued breeding them.
The flea was still alive, so he left it alone for now and tried mating a Ghost-Curtain Insect with a Blackgold Moth instead.
To his disappointment, however, the Ghost-Curtain Insect itself did not seem to be an adult. Its adult form was probably a ghost-curtain moth or a ghost-curtain mosquito.
So the mating failed.
Just as Blackgold Silkworms could not mate either.
He could only keep raising the Ghost-Curtain Insect and try again later.
"I still have to count on you." Lin Ke smiled at the flea in his hand.
The flea was only a tiny speck, yet it could drain a Blackgold Moth dry. He could not help marveling at the wonders of the Creator.
He went to fetch some more venomous insects.
Thanks to Old Han's inheritance, Fang Tong had raised these insects very well.
If Lin Ke provided a slightly better environment, it might even be possible to cultivate spirit insects.
For now, however, Lin Ke had to wait until matters at the Great Wilderness Cavern were settled before returning to work on that. This would have to do.
"Many-headed centipedes, golden rhinoceros beetles, bumblebees... that should be enough."
Lin Ke brought in an Insect-Rearing Jar containing the common Five Poisons, several of the Six Evils caught earlier, and some relatively unusual ordinary insects.
These insects all had their own unique qualities. Though they were not spirit insects, the Amethyst Longhorn Beetle had
