This was a barren little island.
Out in the East Sea, upon the boundless waters, this small, solitary island was clearly an uninhabited zone.
At this very moment, a lake lay in the very center of the island's forest.
Around the lake, however, stood figure after figure.
Among them, two stood out the most.
One was a strange, humanoid monster.
It had the same limbs and torso as a human, along with a peculiar tail.
But its head was that of a fish.
Fish scales covered its cheeks, and its dead-fish eyes surveyed everything before it indifferently.
Yet any Beast Tamer well versed in aquatic pet beasts would have recognized this figure at first glance: a Saint Spirit Tier existence, the special pet beast known as the Sea King Yaksha!
It was the second-stage Evolution Form of the Monarch Rank pet beast, the Sea-Patrolling Yaksha.
The other was dozens of times larger than the Sea King Yaksha.
It was an enormous crocodile.
A full hundred meters from head to tail, it lay curled beside the lake like a small mountain.
Yet this Vast Sea Giant Crocodile, which had likewise reached Saint Spirit Tier, guarded the lake with extraordinary obedience.
Not only it, but the Sea King Yaksha, the Emperor Tier beasts behind them, and the countless pet beasts surrounding the entire island all seemed to be worshipping something.
Waiting for something.
There was nothing in the lake.
But as time passed, the entire lake's color changed slightly, gradually turning reddish from its previous blue-black.
In the end, it actually resembled a pool mixed with fresh blood.
