Chapter Summaries

After an attack on Su Ping, Dong Muyun and Lin Lei arrived to protect him while authorities interrogated the suspected conspirators. The investigation stalled, Liu Fuhai declared Mu Yu his mortal enemy, and an unknown man descended into Linzhou intending to see Su Ping.

• Su Ping asked Dong Muyun to repair Feifei's damaged Mechanical Core and told her that attackers from Eagle Country had targeted him.
• Lin Lei arrived with news that the Moon Wolf Company was on its way, and Su Ping reassured him while withholding what he knew about the Heavenly Tomb.
• Qin Erlong, Liu Fuhai, and Qu Ming watched the separate interrogations as Gu Hao questioned Harman Colin, Chris, and Mu Yu, but the investigators found no clear evidence.
• Mu Yu provoked Liu Fuhai during questioning, and Liu Fuhai confronted him and declared that they were enemies to the death.
• A handsome man descended from an aircraft onto a Linzhou rooftop and said he wanted to see the grandson he had picked up.

After surviving an attack likely ordered by Mu Yu, Su Ping met Master Leng, who revealed that he was Su Ping’s second grandfather, the Ghost Sage, and explained the Heavenly Tomb Sword Seal’s significance. Master Leng took the seal and invited Su Ping to see the culprits, while Xing Chen arrived at the Law Enforcement Department under orders to detain everyone involved until the Chief came.

• Su Ping reflected that he needed greater strength, then was startled when Master Leng appeared in his hospital room through blue flames.
• Su Ping told Master Leng about the attack but initially withheld the Heavenly Tomb Sword Seal; Master Leng recognized the secret and revealed that he was Su Ping’s second grandfather.
• Master Leng explained that four Heavenly Tombs existed worldwide, each marked by a different symbol, and that the seal Su Ping carried matched the sword symbol of the tomb north of the Dragon Nation.
• Su Ping offered to hand the Heavenly Tomb Sword Seal over to the nation, and Master Leng took it before inviting him to see the attackers.
• At the Law Enforcement Department, Xing Chen arrived with orders from the Chief that no one involved or suspected could leave, and he said the Chief was coming from Beiyuan.
• Master Leng identified himself as the Ghost Sage and led Su Ping out to deal with the culprits.

Master Leng took Su Ping, Dong Muyun, and Lin Lei to the Law Enforcement Department, where three foreign suspects had failed to confess. After hearing the situation, he summoned Lanling and ordered it to search the envoy’s soul.

• Master Leng asked Dong Muyun to drive him and Su Ping to the Law Enforcement Department, and told Lin Lei to come with them.
• Su Ping asked Dong Muyun whether Feifei’s Mechanical Core could be repaired, then said he wanted to contract Feifei as a pet beast when he reached Commander Rank.
• Master Leng led the group into the Law Enforcement Department without being noticed by the gatekeeper or receptionist.
• Qu Ming reported that the department had been unable to get information from the three foreign suspects, while Qin Erlong and Liu Fuhai waited in the interrogation room.
• Master Leng summoned Lanling and ordered it to forcibly search the envoy’s soul.

Master Leng used the Blue Flame Heart Demon to search Harman’s soul, exposing the plot against Su Ping and Qin Chuan’s connection to Mu Yu. Charles then appeared through Mu Yu, revealed that Mu’s death completed an experiment involving the Heavenly Tomb, and vanished with Mu’s life; the chapter ended with Master Leng offering Qin Chuan a chance to explain.

• Gu Hao brought Master Leng’s Blue Flame Heart Demon into the interrogation room, and it killed Harman while searching his soul.
• The Soul Search revealed that Mu Yu’s group had planned the attack on Su Ping, sought the Heavenly Tomb Sword Seal, and expected Qin Chuan to help them.
• Master Leng confronted Mu Yu with the Sword Seal and began a Soul Search, but Charles took control of Mu Yu’s body and spoke to him.
• Charles said Mu Yu’s death completed an experiment involving a fruit of the Heavenly Tomb, then disappeared as Mu Yu became a mummified corpse.

Master Leng confronted Qin Chuan over his ties to Eagle Country and let him go after Su Ping intervened, while Qin Erlong ordered his son to face his mother and make amends. After a sleepless night, Master Leng told Su Ping to name any reward he wanted for the Heavenly Tomb Sword Seal.

• Master Leng accused Qin Chuan of disloyalty to the Dragon Nation, but Su Ping asked him to spare Qin Chuan, and he agreed.
• Qin Erlong told Qin Chuan he would not tell Qin Xiaoxue about the incident, but ordered him to confess to his mother, sell or give away his company, and become a lecturer in Demon City.
• After Su Ping and Master Leng left, Qin Chuan called the mother he had avoided contacting, while Qin Erlong stayed behind in the interrogation room.
• Master Leng explained that Qin Chuan had rebelled against his controlling mother over his marriage, and said Su Ping was unlikely to face more trouble over the sword seal.
• At Woodheart, Master Leng offered Su Ping any request he wanted in exchange for the Heavenly Tomb Sword Seal, and Su Ping considered the many rewards he could ask for.

The Sang Sage considered how to mend her relationship with Su Ping and arranged for Xiaoqin to take something to Linzhou, while Su Ping asked Leng for access to nonrenewable Mystic Realms so he could develop his Beast Taming Space. Dong Muyun told Su Ping she had bought Great River Real Estate and repaired Feifei's Mechanical Core; when Su Ping said he wanted a Mechanical Core because of Feifei, the Myriad Spirits Codex unlocked the Gold Elemental Spirit Record and granted Elementalization.

• The Sang Sage called Qin Xiaoxue about Su Ping's Undead-type pet beast, reminded her to invite him to Demon City for Wooden Head's evolution, and asked Xiaoqin to take something to Linzhou.
• Su Ping watched Leng's Skybreaker depart and reflected on his request for information and authorization to enter nonrenewable Mystic Realms.
• Dong Muyun told Su Ping that Pingyun Company had bought Great River Real Estate from Qin Chuan for five hundred million.
• Dong Muyun told Su Ping that Feifei's Mechanical Core had been repaired and offered help with mechanical blueprints and Mechanics.
• Su Ping said he wanted to contract a Mechanical Core because of Feifei, and the Myriad Spirits Codex unlocked the Gold Elemental Spirit Record and granted Elementalization.

Su Ping discovered that Feifei was a psychic Awakened Mechanical Core and gained the Elementalization innate ability from the Myriad Spirits Codex. After checking on the Forest Wolves, he received a book delivered on Sang Sage’s orders: the Myriad Transformations Meditation Method.

• Su Ping examined the Gold Elemental Spirit entry, confirmed Feifei was a mutant, and used True Eye to discover that Feifei was a psychic Awakened Mechanical Core.
• Su Ping tested his new Elementalization ability, found that it greatly increased his speed and let objects pass through him, but consumed mental power too quickly to maintain for long.
• Su Ping visited Li Shu and Guan Lili at the Forest Wolf Woods and learned that several Forest Wolves had improved their skills, though none had reached Perfection.
• A woman arrived in a silver-white aircraft, identified Su Ping as a major, and delivered a box from Dean Sang.
• Su Ping thanked Sang Sage and opened the box, finding a book titled Myriad Transformations Meditation Method.

Su Ping studied the Myriad Transformations Meditation Method and repeatedly failed to sustain a resonance with Xiao Qing and Qianyi, then blamed their mutations rather than his own talent. He turned his attention to improving Old Sha’s Woodheart Skill Level, while Feifei secretly began analyzing the meditation method to help him.

• Su Ping read the Myriad Transformations Meditation Method and learned how Soul Contract resonance could improve meditation and let humans simulate pet beast energy.
• Su Ping tried to resonate with Xiao Qing and Qianyi, but each connection broke within seconds despite half an hour of attempts.

After finding a soon-to-dissolve mystic realm in the wilderness near his Woodheart Breeding Base, he decided to investigate it.

• Su Ping caught an Elite Tier Red-Spotted Silver Carp at Waterheart Lake, and Xiao Qing devoured it while Su Ping explained the fishing ground’s dangers and the Rainbow Coral Polyp that attracted wild aquatic beasts.
• Su Ping celebrated Old Sha’s progress toward Monarch Rank and shared Elder Zhao’s Double-Horned Spearfish sashimi before receiving Master Leng’s message about his new inspector status.
• Su Ping accepted the Celestial Observatory’s access rules, logged into its internal network, and studied the map and classifications of mystic realms across Jianghai Province.

Su Ping led Dong Muyun and his Forest Wolves to the Forest-Shaking Boar King Niu Ba’s Mystic Realm, hoping to find something left behind. After discovering that it had been thoroughly plundered, Su Ping used Spatial Absorption and caused the entire Mystic Realm to shatter, leaving Dong Muyun stunned.

• Su Ping set out with Dong Muyun and his Forest Wolves to search the Mystic Realm of the Forest-Shaking Boar King, Niu Ba.
• Su Ping told Dong Muyun that he disliked the Dong Family because of how they had treated her, and she quietly warmed to his answer.
• Su Ping entered the Mystic Realm after one of his wolves found its entrance and found its land and remaining energy nearly exhausted.
• Dong Muyun explained that the Celestial Observatory’s predecessors, the Gold-Touching Captains, had routinely stripped Mystic Realms of their contents.
• Su Ping used Spatial Absorption to draw nourishment from the Mystic Realm, then caused it to shatter before Dong Muyun’s eyes.

After absorbing five nearby Mystic Realms, Su Ping’s Beast Taming Space expanded, but he remained at Elite Tier Seven and ended the day exhausted. Feifei revealed its progress toward creating a meditation method, then successfully simulated network signals, inspiring Su Ping to envision it controlling mechanical pets and devices remotely.

• Su Ping absorbed the remaining four Mystic Realms near Linzhou, greatly expanding his Beast Taming Space but failing to advance beyond Elite Tier Seven.
• Feifei explained its analysis of meditation methods and said it was working to produce Spiritual Resonance that could help Su Ping develop his own method.

• Huang Tianbing learned that Celestial Observatory inspectors had confirmed the disappearance of five mystic realms in Jianghai and approved Su Ping’s reports.
• Su Ping focused on evolving San Ha after the Forest Wolf reached Perfection in Self-Healing.
• San Ha consumed the required resources and evolved into a Commander-tier Elf Wolf with Monarch-tier potential and a range of life-support skills.

Su Ping and Dong Muyun reviewed Illusionheart, a short-lived potion that granted elementalization, and discussed its pricing and Pingyun’s plans. Dong Muyun invited Su Ping to a former forest farm where they would compete with Fire King Company to recruit wild plant-type pets, and Su Ping agreed to go the next morning.

• Dong Muyun examined Su Ping’s Illusionheart results and praised the potion’s potential as a lifesaving strategic supply.
• Dong Muyun proposed premium pricing for Illusionheart, and Su Ping left the launch and patent arrangements to her.
• Su Ping told Dong Muyun that Woodheart’s expansion into the hills would include a botanical garden called Forestheart and a focus on plant-type pets.

• Su Ping met Senior Breeder Shangguan Ye and his wife, then traveled with them and Dong Muyun to Victory Forest Farm.
• Dong Muyun explained that the forest farm covered over a thousand square kilometers and held more than two thousand plant-type pets; Shangguan Ye identified its Monarch Rank guardian as a Life Ancient Tree.
• Su Ping arrived at the farm with the others and encountered Fire King executives, including Xu Li and his former classmate Zhou Shuchen.

• Peach Blossom offered to go with Su Ping after Old Sha used Language of Nature, stunning Xu Li and the Fire King Company members.
• Su Ping accepted Peach Blossom’s energy-condensed fruit and promised to return for her and her companions.
• Peach Blossom told Su Ping that the Life Ancient Tree was at the mountaintop and might consider leaving with Peach Blossom’s help.
• Peach Blossom gave Su Ping a petal, and the Myriad Spirits Codex unlocked her Record and enhanced his Mind Communication talent.

Su Ping discovered that the Myriad Spirits Codex could upgrade his existing talents, then met a dying Life Ancient Tree that had sheltered the plant-type beasts on Ox Horn Mountain. After learning its vitality roots had been severed, Su Ping offered to try improving its condition with Old Sha.

• Su Ping learned that lighting up Codex records could raise the levels of talents such as Mind Communication.
• Su Ping and Dong Muyun used a Sky-Roaming Fish to teleport to the Life Ancient Tree, where Su Ping and the Fire King Company both offered to take it in.
• Xu Li offered the Life Ancient Tree Monarch Rank resources, while Su Ping revealed an Emperor Rank Natural Essence.
• Shangguan Ye explained that the Life Ancient Tree had only a year or two left because its vitality roots were severed, and the tree said it wanted humans to shelter the plant-type beasts it protected.

Su Ping used Old Sha to test whether Woodheart could transfer vitality to the dying Life Ancient Tree after Language of Nature failed. Old Sha restored some of the tree’s vitality, advanced toward Monarch, and raised Woodheart to Perfection.

• Su Ping rejected Natural Essence as a solution and asked the Life Ancient Tree to let him try another method.
• Old Sha used Language of Nature on the Life Ancient Tree, but it did not reverse the tree’s decline.
• Su Ping had Old Sha enter Woodification and connect to the Life Ancient Tree while absorbing sunlight.
• Old Sha transferred vitality to the Life Ancient Tree, turning some of its yellow branches and leaves green again.
• The Life Ancient Tree severed the connection, but Old Sha’s power surged toward Monarch and his Woodheart advanced to Perfection.

Old Sha reached Monarch Rank after months of cultivating his Woodheart Skill, and his sunlight power restored some of the Life Ancient Tree’s vitality. The Life Ancient Tree agreed to move to Su Ping’s base, and many rare plant-type pet beasts followed, rapidly filling Su Ping’s Myriad Spirits Codex with new Records and rewards.

• Old Sha absorbed the sunlight on Ox Horn Mountain, completed his breakthrough to Monarch Rank, and revealed the full power of Wolf King's Majesty.
• Su Ping asked Dong Muyun to prepare a large supply of Sunlight Springwater so Old Sha could master Blinding Technique.
• The Life Ancient Tree agreed to visit Su Ping’s breeding base after Old Sha’s treatment extended its life by about five months.
• The Longevity Banyan, Spear Fir King, and numerous other plant-type pet beasts declared that they would follow the Life Ancient Tree to Su Ping’s base.
• Su Ping’s Myriad Spirits Codex rapidly illuminated Records for the rare plant-type pet beasts and granted rewards including enhanced Mind Communication and Rain Prayer.

Su Ping unlocked Rain Prayer and upgraded Mind Communication into Mental Communication while lighting up the plant-type pet beasts’ Records. He recruited the Heaven-Piercing Vine and left the forest farm with every high-level plant-type pet beast for Woodheart, while Xu Li and Zhou Shuchen watched their plans fall apart.

• Su Ping received Rain Prayer and upgraded Mind Communication to Mental Communication after the Life Ancient Tree’s Record pushed the ability beyond its maximum value.
• Su Ping realized the Heaven-Piercing Vine was missing, called to it through Mental Communication, and persuaded it to join him by promising it could help defend his base.
• The Life Ancient Tree told Xu Li that some plant-type pet beasts had chosen to remain in the forest farm, but Xu Li watched Su Ping gain the Heaven-Piercing Vine as well.
