"Oh~ my dear boss~"
Xu Ran had barely recovered his bearings after teleporting to the Starfire Foster Shop in Cloud-Gathering City when he found himself in a muscular embrace.
"I know you've just been through something heartbreaking. Please allow me to give you all the comfort you need with my warm embrace..."
Watching that large face draw closer, Xu Ran expressionlessly raised a hand to hold him back, then pushed hard, inching out of his ferocious embrace. "All right, Tony, I appreciate the thought."
"All right~" Tony lowered his hands regretfully, then made a heart gesture at Xu Ran. "Boss, I hope our performance at the Cloud-Gathering City Starfire Foster Shop lately hasn't disappointed you."
As he finished speaking, the Black-Clothed Man and the Green-Skinned Frog standing behind him on either side quickly nodded in agreement. Neither spoke, but both cast eager looks at Xu Ran.
But...
Given their respective dispositions and styles, those eager looks came out somewhat distorted, losing their original meaning.
To Xu Ran, the Black-Clothed Man seemed to want to kill him, while the Green-Skinned Frog had an even purer sort of stupidity about him.
"What are you two doing?" The corners of Xu Ran's mouth twitched slightly as he watched the two system clerks.
"Oh, here's the thing." Tony chuckled and patted his two good colleagues on the shoulders. "Main Quest 3 is almost complete. Boss, you'll be getting three new clerks, and barring any surprises, a new branch too, so..."
"The two of them want to compete for the new system shop manager position."
"Huh?" Xu Ran looked rather bewildered. "Almost complete?"
Without another word, he immediately opened the quest panel, then blurted out, "Holy shit."
