Mo Linsheng was terribly nervous as he watched the two men approaching step by step.
During his month or so in the mountains, he had not successfully baited many people into his trap-no more than ten, in fact.
But now, in his weakened state, running into even one of them could mean another incident like yesterday's.
He bitterly regretted coming outside. Why hadn't he just stayed put until Bolati or Li Long arrived?

His nerves settled, and he slowly dragged his injured body over to light the cooking fire.

It hadn't been that long since their last visit. How had they gathered so much?
Had the two of them teamed up to rob someone?
Mo Linsheng pondered this as the uncle and nephew reached the counter with their two large sacks of fritillaria.
Besides the fritillaria, Wu Bensheng and his nephew were also carrying sacks containing their bedding.
"Are you heading out of the mountains this time?" Mo Linsheng asked. "Done digging?"
"We're done," Wu Bensheng said with a smile. "We've had enough. Don't feel like working anymore. More and more of the plants in the gullies we've been digging in are flowering. We ought to be satisfied. We can't dig the stuff out of existence, after all."
Seeing Mo Linsheng get the fire going,
