Li Long had not planned on having anything to do with his mother-in-law during his visit to Yanjing, but if Gu Xiaoyu was in trouble, he would naturally have to step in.
If nothing else, this sister-in-law of his had traveled all the way to Northern Xinjiang twice to find her father and sister. That alone was enough to keep Li Long from standing idly by.
For now, though, there was nothing more to deal with. He would have to wait until Gu Xiaoyu came tomorrow to find out exactly what was going on.
"Wangfujing was so lively!" Ye'erjiang said excitedly. "There were people from all over the country, so many of them, all packed together. Even our sheep back in the mountains have never been that crowded..."
Li Long did not know whether to laugh or cry at Ye'erjiang's description.
"No, no, our sheep get more crowded than that, but at least their heads all face the same way when they go into the pen," Jianagulì offered a different opinion. "But here, I saw several people get their shoes knocked off in the crush. I don't know why they were so worked up. Couldn't they slow down?"
"They were worried someone else would buy everything if they were too slow," Li Long joked. "There must have been plenty of nice things inside?"
"So many!" Nasen marveled. "I thought the department store in Stone City already had loads of things, but there were even more here, and the building was taller too. I even saw foreigners!"
Sasiken nodded vigorously. Nasen had said everything he wanted to say, so all he could do was nod in agreement.
"Do you like it here?" Li Long asked with a smile. He could tell the children were in high spirits.
"Yes, I love it!"
