Boss Liu got things off to a good start. Over the next few days, a dozen or twenty calls came in every day asking about the vehicles, with a few asking about cotton-lined leather shoes and sheepskin overcoats.
Most of the callers, however, were small workshops with only a few, a dozen, or a few dozen items on hand.
Li Long wrote down all their addresses and said he would drive his truck over when he had time. If the prices and quality were right, he would buy their stock.
When Boss Wang failed to show up the next day, Li Long found it a little strange. He did not call Boss Liu, though. There was no shortage of buyers for the cars, and Hongguang Leather Factory was now producing goods too. Even if Boss Wang had been lying, Li Long would not be left with nothing, though the quantity might be limited.
On the third day, Boss Wang still did not come, but an unexpected businessman arrived in a truck.
"You said you came from Stone City?" Li Long looked with some surprise at the Eastern Henan man with thick eyebrows and large eyes. "I advertised on Beiting Television Station and in Beiting Daily. How did you hear about it over there?"
It was already snowing outside. Sitting in the reception room with a mug of hot tea, Hou Junxin smiled and said, "I didn't see it myself. A friend of mine over in the Sixth Agricultural Division saw it and called me. That was how I learned you were looking for this kind of thing. So I brought them straight over-a whole truckload of sheepskin overcoats, four hundred of them!"
"Does Stone City have a factory making these?" Li Long asked in surprise. "How come I never knew?"
