Life wasn't all about a wife, children, and a warm bed. There was also heading into the mountains to hunt and make good money.
So although Li Long felt a little wistful, Gu Xiaoxia had to go to work, and there was no point in staying by himself. He got out of bed.
After all their exertions last night, he felt he had truly wasted his previous life, never properly experiencing something so wonderful.
Fortunately, there were plenty of good days ahead. After getting up and washing, Gu Xiaoxia went to the kitchen to cook. Li Long didn't idle either. He fed the fawns, cleared the stalks and droppings from the glass room, and got them some water while he was at it. The fawns had grown used to staying in the glass room. Although they still gathered around and called when they saw Li Long approach, they no longer resisted being inside so much. Perhaps they knew they wouldn't be getting out anytime soon and had resigned themselves to it.
Li Long was still softhearted. He opened the door and let the three little ones out for some fresh air, planning to shut them back in before everyone left.
The three little ones called happily as they ran into the front courtyard. One even scattered pellets of dung as it ran, thoroughly enjoying itself.
Li Long shook his head. He would clean that up later.
Busy in the kitchen, Gu Xiaoxia heard the little ones calling and poked her head out. Looking at Li Long behind them, she asked:
"You let them out?"
"Yes, for some fresh air. These little ones were used to running around in the mountains. They must get bored shut in such a little room. Let them out to play for a while every morning
