Harimu and the others had been back for two days. Thick snow already covered Summer Pasture, and Winter Camp had actually seen two heavy snowfalls as well. They had encountered plenty of dangers during the move between pastures.
But after so many years, they were used to it. Some herders had lost cattle and sheep, some had been injured falling from their horses, and others had suffered frostbite.
Still, they had all returned safely.
Harimu and Jade Mountain River were discussing matters at Winter Camp while Harimu's wife brewed milk tea. A faint milky fragrance spread through the room.
Soon, two bowls of milk tea were brought to the kang table. Jade Mountain River placed his left hand over his chest and accepted his tea with his right, expressing his thanks before saying with feeling:
"After sending my family down the mountain, they're living well, but life's gotten hard for me. Now I even have to come here for a bowl of fragrant milk tea."
"Hahaha." Harimu took a sip of tea and said with a laugh, "Jade Mountain River, you're joking. You brew fine milk tea yourself."
That was true. Jade Mountain River was very good at brewing milk tea and making naren. But Harimu also understood that Jade Mountain River meant living alone at Winter Camp was rather inconvenient.
After all, this was different from Summer Pasture. At Summer Pasture, they had to graze their livestock every day and watch out for wolf packs. There was plenty to do. Now they only had to feed the cattle and sheep and clean the sheep pens each day, spending most of their time holed up indoors.
"If it weren't for the radio Li Long got me, life would really be hard." Jade Mountain River spoke as he drank his tea.
