Harimu froze for a moment at the sight of the Jeep. Only when he saw Li Long get out did he smile.

Li Long remembered that the ditch between the road and Harimu's Winter Camp had been filled in during the summer, so the Jeep should be able to cross it. After all, the tractor had made it across.

He shifted gears, adjusted his direction, and drove toward the Winter Camp.

The Jeep's off-road capabilities proved their worth as it climbed out of the ditch and pulled up beside Harimu.

Li Long got out and shook hands with Harimu. After they exchanged greetings, he pointed at the two antelopes inside the vehicle and said:

"Shot them on the way here. The horns are mine, and the meat is yours."

"No, no, no." Harimu looked at the two antelopes. "One is enough. We'll split that one with Jade Mountain River, too. We still have plenty of meat from the Winter Slaughter at home. Take the other one back."

"I have plenty, too," Li Long explained. "I've shot quite a few Mongolian gazelles these past two days. I have lots of meat."

"There are more of you. Keep it to eat." Harimu still insisted. "Come on, have some milk tea first, then we'll skin them."

Li Long was delighted. Without his having to say another word, Harimu already knew to help skin them.

"Let's unload everything first," Li Long said. "We can have milk tea afterward. Otherwise, it'll keep weighing on my mind."

"All right." As Harimu spoke, his wife came out of the Earth Cellar as well. She gave Li Long a somewhat shy smile by way of greeting.

The two men unloaded the grain, medicines, eggs, potatoes, Piyazi onions, and other things from the back of the Jeep.
