Wuchang Commandery.
Sun Hao sat in the seat of honor, with the senior ministers and generals accompanying him on campaign standing on either side.
The newly favored secretariat minister, Cen Hun, stood closest to Sun Hao.
Sun Hao looked solemnly at everyone before him and said earnestly, "On this campaign, I shall rid the world of the scourge that is the Cao Thief!"
"First, we shall defeat Guanqiu Jian and Hu Zun, seize Qingxu and Huainan, point our swords at Luoyang, and capture Cao Mao alive!"
"I shall have Cao Mao bound and make him beg forgiveness from the people of the realm!"
The more Sun Hao spoke, the more excited he became.
Anyone who did not know better would have thought they were the side with the advantage!
At this moment, Sun Hao evidently cared little about the fighting. He eagerly anticipated the day he could rule the Central Plains, capture Cao Mao alive, and accomplish his great undertaking.

Sun Hao's words did provide some encouragement. The generals, previously listless and deeply afraid of the Wei people, now felt courage filling their bodies, as though they could go and capture Cao Mao at any moment.
After painting everyone a picture of his hopes for the future, he turned to the generals.
"My ministers! I am no good at warfare, so I shall leave the campaign against Guanqiu Jian and Hu Zun to you generals. I absolutely will not interfere!"
"I shall remain here in Wuchang, beating the drums to cheer you on and awaiting your triumphant return!"
The generals bowed to Sun Hao.
