Lin Ye exposed Xiao Wu’s identity at the tournament, where Xiao Wu sacrificed herself and Tang Hao escaped with Tang San. After training, Lin Ye entered the City of Slaughter with Hu Liena and Zhu Zhuqing, built a winning streak in its arena, and was summoned by the King of Slaughter.

• Bibi Dong revealed Xiao Wu as a 100,000 Year Humanoid Soul Beast and ordered Spirit Hall to capture her, while Lin Ye revealed himself as Sword One and won the tournament for the Heavenly Star Team.
• Tang Hao attacked Spirit Hall to save Tang San, but Lin Ye defeated him and argued that Tang Hao had knowingly put Xiao Wu in danger.
• Xiao Wu sacrificed herself to create a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring and Soul Bone for Lin Ye, while Tang Hao escaped with Tang San and Bibi Dong ended the tournament.

The Asura God began grooming Tang San as a successor, while Lin Ye returned to Spirit City to question Bibi Dong about his father.

As Spirit Hall began its campaign against the Upper Three Sects, Lin Ye negotiated with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and offered it treasures to encourage submission.

• Lin Ye broke the jade pendant’s ninth seal, learned the Soul Spirit art from his father’s letter, and successfully created a Soul Spirit from a ten-year soul beast.
• Bibi Dong revealed that Xue Qinghe was Qian Renxue in disguise and explained Spirit Hall’s plan to unify the continent, while Lin Ye offered to gain soul beast support through Soul Spirits.

• Lin Ye gave Ning Fengzhi the Aromatic Silk Beauty, and Ning Rongrong evolved her Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda into the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda before asking Lin Ye to marry her.
• Lin Ye defeated Chen Xin and Gu Rong in combat, won their agreement not to interfere with his relationship with Ning Rongrong, and secured the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s submission to Spirit Hall.
