Month-end wrap-up + May update schedule
There were 30 days this month, and I posted 311,000 Chinese characters, a little over 3,000 short of what I'd planned. I posted early so I wouldn't be late, and I can make up the difference in the next chapter.
I remember saying back at the end of March that I guaranteed at least 10,000 characters a day this month. Although my updates were lousy for a few days in the middle of the month because I was out, I made up for it afterward with extra-long updates, so I did manage to average over 10,000 characters a day.
Also, the average chapter subscriptions have now reached 2,000, an increase of 1,000 in a month. I'm really happy about that. Above all, I should thank all you generous readers who have kept supporting the official release and following along. Thank you.
I also reached a milestone this month: over 1,000 monthly votes. I originally thought that probably wouldn't be possible, because I remember having only a little over 500 votes on the 20th. I never expected to gain over 1,000 more in ten days.
That also made me realize that when you write on Qidian, you really do reap what you sow.
There's no express lane to success, nor any highway to growth.
No matter which author or which book, as long as someone is reading, the readers see all the effort the author puts in.
