Month-end wrap-up
May is over. This month was so exhausting.
My work schedule changed a while back, so I basically have no time to write during working hours anymore. I've been squeezing writing in whenever I can, and with a little writer's block on top of that, I've been so busy my head's been spinning.
I originally didn't want to post a standalone note, since it disrupts the reading experience, but I still owe bonus chapters. Seeing everyone asking about them, I figured I should post one to explain.
I updated 340,000 Chinese characters in May, and my average subscriptions rose by about nine hundred. They're currently a little over 2,900, just a few dozen short of the Premium threshold, but whenever I post a new chapter, they drop back to 2,900. Reaching Premium in the next couple of days will probably still be a little difficult.
As for bonus chapters, I should currently owe ten.
I originally thought six bonus chapters at most would be enough, but you all were incredibly generous with your monthly votes. In just a few short days, the total jumped straight from fewer than 1,700 to over 3,000.
As of now, the total is (3,050) votes.
Under the bonus-chapter promise I made earlier, every additional 300 votes beyond the first 1,000 earns an extra chapter. We're at 3,050 now; subtract the first 1,000, and let's count that as seven chapters, awarding bonuses for 2,100 votes.
That means seven chapters owed for monthly votes, two chapters for two Helm Master supporters, and one more from a day when I was originally going to update 16,000 characters but fell short. So I need to post ten bonus chapters altogether.
