Taking a day off, and talking a little about the upcoming plot.
With adjustments at work, I've been worked like a dog lately. For several days, I've been posting stockpiled chapters. I originally saved up a few to release together at the end of the month, but these past few days have used them all up.
So far this month, I've only posted 150,000 Chinese characters, just half of what I used to. I'm really sorry. Let me reflect on myself for thirty seconds...
Of course, the reduced updates aren't because I'm lazy. There really are reasons.
Hear me make excuses... no, hear me explain:
One reason is that work has been busy, and my income from writing isn't stable, so I don't dare quit my job.
So, for that measly four thousand a month, I still have to grit my teeth and stick with it. When I'm not at work, I'm writing, and occasionally I have to travel for work too, which has left me with much less time.
The other reason is the state I've been in.
A lot of the time, after a busy day, when I've just gotten home from work, it really is hard to get into the groove and start writing right away. My mind is completely blank, and I just want to lie down and never get up.
Over time, I haven't been in a very good state overall either.
And with a long novel, it really does get harder to write the further along you get.
That's my own problem too, I suppose. My writing skills aren't good enough, and I can't control the pacing.
A lot of the time, I clearly have the plot in my head, but once I write it out, it doesn't achieve the result I wanted.
