I originally planned to finish this book last month, but my thoughts got a little tangled toward the end. On top of preparing the new book, I couldn't keep up the update volume, so it dragged on until now.
After all, this is my first time writing a long novel through to completion, and I don't have much experience, so the later plot might not have been written very well either. I've let you all down.
But no matter what, this is still the first book I've written to earn the Premium distinction, and I still want to finish it.
Those of you keeping up with the updates can probably see the setup for the later story by now. It's roughly the war against the Demon Clan; once that's finished, the book will basically be over.
To be honest, I'm not sure exactly how many more words it will take. In any case, I'll finish it according to the plot I've already laid out.
As for the new book, I originally planned to release it after finishing this one, which would also give me more time to prepare and build up a larger backlog. But my editor kept urging me to release the new book, and since I'd already made it to New Year's Day, I figured I might as well release it for the occasion.
The two-month new-book period should give me enough time to finish this book about Yu Gonggong, and then I'll start putting everything into the new one.
