The Armed Vehicles Innovation Competition ended on the third day after the update went live.
The contest called for vehicle builds costing no more than ten thousand Sacrificial Power, with every entry's simulated test performance statistics displayed on the Forum throughout the event.
Scores were calculated across multiple dimensions, weighted in descending order: performance across different terrain, cost-effectiveness, Forum player likes, and more.
The top ten players could receive the Armed Vehicles they had assembled in the simulation outright.
The innovative creations posted by the top three contestants had pulled far ahead of the rest in Forum likes.
First place went to the Swift Movement flying sword assembled by the player "Draw Sword, Slay Love."
He named his vehicle template "Cloud-Hidden Azure Dragon."
In appearance, the blade bore an intricate Cloud Dragon totem painted with Spirit Runes Livery. Its head was raised high and its tail coiled, so lifelike that it seemed ready to burst into the sky and soar through the heavens at any moment. Slots were cleverly incorporated into the Cloud Dragon totem, allowing Spirit Stones to be fitted at critical moments for extra endurance. An Energy Core was installed in the broad hilt, surrounded by fine silver Spirit Runes depicting a blooming hellflower.
This build could be called a stripped-down version of sword flight, allowing players to stand on the flying sword and soar through the skies.
But its shortcomings were also obvious.
First was its energy endurance. The incomplete configuration meant it could only fly for half an hour, and extending that required buying Spirit Stones from the shop to recharge it.
Second was handling. Since players rode it standing up, there was a risk of falling off the vehicle.
Controlling their center of gravity became especially important.
