This invasion could be understood as something similar to the Soul Return Race releasing Soul Beasts into a Minor World.
Besides investigating conditions within a Minor World, if that world was extremely weak, these exploratory troop types would devour its life to grow rapidly before the war legions arrived, until they had consumed the entire world.
Then they would carry the energy gained from devouring that world back to the Dark Tide Legion and be reinitialized as the lowest-grade exploratory troop types.
Usually, billions upon billions were scattered into Minor Worlds where Dark Tide Rifts had already appeared. No matter how many died, the Dark Tide felt no loss.
The vast majority of these seeds would perish in the worlds connected to the rifts, but some would still grow rapidly within those Minor Worlds, eventually becoming world-destroying natural disasters.
But these were not, in essence, the Dark Tide's military forces. Their combat strength was pitifully weak.
To the Dark Tide, an invasion in which not even an Evil Spirit Warrior had appeared could not be called a war.
It was like humans casually scattering a handful of grass seeds into the wilderness.
